What I'm Looking Forward To Most This Valentine's Day With A Baby
Valentine’s Day has always been a day to celebrate love, but this year, it holds a new and special meaning for me as I look forward to celebrating it with my gorgeous baby. There are several things that make this Valentine’s Day an anticipated one, namely the absolute joy I get from experiencing any new season, holiday or festivity through his eyes.
This year, the traditions I’m implementing for me and my baby for Valentine’s Day include:
A Personalized Card for Lasting Memories: One of the things I'm most excited about is writing my baby a card. I’ve always enjoyed writing to him throughout the months, but having cards that contain a snapshot of where he is right now in his life is so special. I plan to detail his current developmental milestones, the adorable new things he's doing, and how he's growing and changing every day. These cards will one day be a beautiful keepsake, something we can look back on together in the years to come. After all, I will take anything to help me remember the tiny things he’s doing today that all add up to creating his unique personality that’s starting to shine through.
Exciting New Toys: Another highlight of this Valentine’s Day is the introduction of some new baby toys. Now that he’s a little older, his play is becoming more interactive, and I can't wait to see his reactions to the new toys that are not just fun but also aid in his development. As Christmas has just been, this Valentine’s Day his gifts are just small, but it’s still something for me to look forward to as the days are getting darker and wetter!
A Special Weaning Milestone Meal: Perhaps the most significant change this Valentine's Day is that my baby is now weaned, which means we can enjoy a nice meal together. Last Valentine's Day, he wasn't ready for solids, but this year, I'm looking forward to preparing a little feast for him - something healthy, colourful, and maybe a tiny bit festive. It's an exciting step in his growth, and sharing this experience makes the day even more special.
These moments, simple yet profound, are what I'm most looking forward to this Valentine’s Day. It's not about grand gestures but rather the precious, irreplaceable moments spent with my baby, marking his growth and our bond, that will make this day truly memorable.
